We here at Cochran Clan Sugar Glider Rescue are a 501(c)3 rescue based out of central North Carolina. Our passion is in these little furry angels. We specialize in rehabilitation of both their health and their trust in us as owners. Our mission is to find all abandoned and neglected gliders a forever home. We work with every glider that enters our rescue, to tame them and make them the loving glider that we know they can become. Our saying is, “There is no such thing as a bad glider, only those that need a little more love and care.”
Michael Cochran has had experience with sugar gliders since 1989. So he has tons of experience handling difficult gliders. His wife Ariel has only had gliders for a few years but has experience in diets and training. As information about gliders constantly evolves, we do as well. They are always willing to share their knowledge and debunk a lot of the myths out there. Please feel free to ask them anything. The ideology that they follow is, “We were all new owners once.”
We also have a few volunteers that help us with nail trims and socializing the gliders. We could not do this without the generous donations and the help from our volunteers. This is a family, or a clan as we say, and we really appreciate all that they do to help us.
